FightHype.com was on hand in Las Vegas, Nevada where super featherweight Oscar Valdez knocked former champion Miguel Berchelt out cold in the 10th round to capture the WBC title. You don't want to miss what all the participants from the card had to say immediately after the fights during the post-fight coverage. Check it out!
This solidified trainer of the year
Eddy Reynoso vs Mr Lopez, who you got?
I literally gave up on Andy Ruiz when he lost to AJ, not because he lost or I though he wasn’t good, it’s because he admitted he didn’t train. I lost all hope after that, but Seeing what Eddy Reynoso is doing with his guys... I’m thinking Andy will look good on a comeback. A great coach is vital for success in this game.
@ANDRES MOLINA What?
come on man, why are you selective some fighters have his own controversies and you do not say nothing (I dfo not know if it is your case) for instance that Wilder fight vs Scott, that's very controversial too.
Eddy, todo un crack.
Not one of the best. THE FUCKING BEST PERIOD
I like BoMack and D.James, but give this man his credit. Yes, canelo is a cheater but he can fight and Look what he did with Valdez. Great trainer for real.
Sin Duda un buen entrenador..!
Eddy is not the best trainer right now he’s the best strategies
I would like to see Ortiz go with Reynoso.
Vergil has a damn good trainer, Robert. If it ain't broke, dont fix it.
Best trainer ever
Great fight ..not like the snooze fest of Adrian broners fight
@Christian Rodrigues that sucks
Lost 1850 on that fight thanks to those judges
Haha, exactly. I was so pumped when they did the fighterbintors and entrances. This was definitely top 5 most hyped fights I have ever watched live. And, I've watched hundreds!
Eddy is seriously one of the greatest trainers of all time. No 🧢 This man brings out the absolute best in fighters. He got Canelo, Ryan, and Valdez running boxing and he’s not even done yet. He got Andy Ruiz and frank sanchez and it’s only a matter of time that they whoop wilder and fury.
Pump the brakes, Eddie showing to be a great trainer but c'mon give him time
@Jayr DeeCeeOh you're not wrong, but he serves as more as a manager and assistant trainer rather than his actual trainer. anyway, considering Alfredo caballero also being a good trainer for developing fighters like berchelt and Juan Francisco "el Gallo" estrada. he did not have a plan b on this fight. therefore, if Julio cesar Martinez ever fights el Gallo estrada my money will be on Martinez by ko too.
Don’t forget el Rey Martinez too
Actualmente es el número 1. Enhorabuena y a por todas.
Canelo Andy Ruiz Vergil ortiz The next winners
Don't forget Sanchez and Garcia
No Vergil works with Robert Garcia But I know eddy can take em to the next level But he’s too busy With canelo Andy ryan n oscar
is he working with vergil too?
It’s sad Nery left Eddie Reynoso.
dudes a bum he basically left cuz he said he wasn't being explosive as he use to be which basically means he cares only about offense and not defense he doesn't wanna fight like neo and Oscar he just wants to be a slugger
@ERHdaBest1 4L yea Valdez didn’t look so good in his last fights. It takes a couple of fights to adapt. But his confidence in this fight was on another level.
@The last Emperor or maybe he wasn't down with the level of discipline that it required to be in that stable. I think that's the other likely reason.
@The last Emperor nah, he was just impatient. In my opinion Nery got impatient because he didn't look that great last fight and he didn't look too comfortable. But that's part of the process. Valdez was going through the same at first. But with practice(repetition), dedication, and experience he got it done. It took Valdez a couple fights to fully adapt to the new style but ultimately he emerged a more complete fighter. It doesn't happen from one fight to another. Same with Ryan(still in progress), Julio Cesar Matinez(still in progress). Andy is already a very complete fighter he just lacks discipline at times.
He knew he wasn’t going to get the attention like Valdez canelo Garcia and Ruiz.
That translator sucks
We want Ruiz Jr vs Wilder
Good comeback fights for each, no tune ups needed
Looking forward to see Andy Ruiz showcase and redeem himself with his new trainer Eddie.
@Jonaliz Velez yup he prolly kicks them out if they don’t listen
I was thinking the same thing
I hope Eddie is pushing his lazy ass! Some of us need a lot of pushing/tough love. I like how Eddie already has money and doesn’t need to be a ‘Yes sir to boxers’.
Trainer of the year calling it now! How lucky canelo Ryan and Valdez are to have you as a trainer. Viva Mexico 🇲🇽 !! 💪🏼
@marc reymos bro stop being a casual
Asi es es una buena camada para el boxeo mexicano
@marc reymos Oscar Valdez used to stand and bang Eddie changed his style and now he’s better.
@shiinshampooh ask Oscar the la hoya brings the hole team canelo to produce business in the states , just blime people denied this shit - that’s cool I don’t support watching that 💩
@marc reymos they choice😂🤣
ESO!!! 🇲🇽 💪
Wow. He;s already thinking of strategies and improvement's that can be made. Great stuff.
It ain't a coincidence man what a badass coach 💪🏾🔥
Pound for pound the best trainer in the game!!! Literally!!! #teamvaldez #TeamCanelo #EddyReynoso
In his prime too.
Good translator
Agreed
Trainer of the decade
@Lemon26 yeah I mean this decade
Well maybe on this decade but of 2010-2020 nope 👎🏻 the trainers of that decade are Freddy roach and Mayweather sr and Roger Mayweather
😂😂 maybe but there are others out there too making moves. RG and Derick James in the picture also.
@Boxing Heart tell me who is better than lmao
Lol too soon to call that out but excellent work from Eddie. Didn’t realize he was that good.
Best trainer today 💪🏽💪🏽
